Role Overview
As a Supervisor, your role will be crucial in overseeing the daily operations of our convenience store. Your role will include staff supervision customer service excellence, and maintaining an organised and welcoming store environment. This position requires strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organisational skills, and a keen interest in retail and wholesale trade dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all customers receive exceptional service.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
- Create and manage staff schedules, monitor performance, and foster a positive work environment.
- Oversee inventory levels, coordinate with Parfetts Cash and Carry for timely deliveries, and ensure the store is consistently well-stocked with high-demand products.
- Implement and manage Go Local promotional offers.
- Ensure promotional displays are appealing and appropriately stocked to drive sales.
- Track sales performance, analyse data to identify trends, and develop strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe store environment. Ensure products are displayed neatly and shelves are replenished regularly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, store policies, and legal requirements related to the sale of licensed and tobacco products.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, including daily cash reconciliation, bank deposits, and ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales, and other relevant metrics to the Store Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in a retail or wholesale trade environment, preferably within a convenience store setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Understanding of retail sales, inventory management, and promotional activities.
- Knowledge of UK tobacco and alcohol product regulations is advantageous.
- Positive, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
